The TRISON is a modular ultrasonic bath for the intensive (pre-)cleaning of high-quality medical instruments with a particular focus on complex da Vinci robotic instruments (type Si) from the manufacturer Intuitive Surgical.

The cleaning process is optimized by combining the methods listed:

Ultrasound
Contamination, including at the distal end and in the difficult-to-access lumen of the instruments, is thoroughly cleaned using gentle ultrasonic cavitation without damaging the instruments. Places in the instrument that are difficult or impossible to access manually are advantageously reached because ultrasound develops wherever bath liquid is present. Mechanical damage, such as scratches, are avoided (“electronic brushing”).

Individual instrument movement
In the TRISON, the da Vinci robotic instruments are constantly moved during ultrasonic cleaning. This means that the dirty work tools, joints and all cables from the drive adapter to the tip of the instrument are effectively cleaned using ultrasound.

Suction-pressure flushing
da Vinci robotic instruments are subjected to alternating suction and pressure flushing. Flushable MIC instruments only with a suction rinse.

Individual instrument testing
In the TRISON, robotic and MIC instruments are thoroughly rinsed during ultrasonic cleaning and individually checked for flow.
Clogged instruments are checked by the software recognized and reported after reprocessing.
