SunShell columns are core shell columns with an inert surface due to inactivated silanol groups and high stability through special end-capping, which has been specially optimized for core-shell silica.
SunShell 2.6 µm columns can be used for HPLC and UHPLC as they generate a lower back pressure than sub-2µm materials. The available 2.6 µm and also 5 µm SunShell material is the solution for maximum separation performance at the lowest possible pressure. This 2.6 µm core shell material is based on a non-porous inner core (diameter 1.6 µm) and a 0.5 µm thick porous silica layer. With these core shell particles, brilliant separations can be achieved with HPLC-compatible printing.
By using the derivatizing reagent of the separator series, SunShell material pH stability and performance are significantly better than other CoreShell materials. The new core shell material of the next generation SunShell is the door opener to new dimensions. Thanks to a special derivatization process, SunShell columns are pH stable (pH 1.5 - 10) and have a loading capacity up to 100 times higher than the core currently available on the market Shell columns and show a very good peak symmetry for both basic, acidic and complexing analytes. SunShell advantages again at a glance:
Significantly improved pH stability (pH 1.5 - 10 at up to 80 ° C)
Up to 100 times higher loading capacity than other core shell materials
Low back pressure, usually 30 - 200 bar!
Maximum performance with approx. 250,000 theoretical plates / meters
Excellent peak performance for basic, acidic and complexing analytes
As C18, C8, phenyl, RP-Aqua, PFP, HILIC Amide and Widepore C18 / C8 / C4 available.
