Chiral column with coated polysaccharide selectors. This Chiralpak column has an inner diameter of 10 mm, a length of 20 mm and a particle size of 5.0 µm.
Daicel's conventional polysaccharide-based phases are produced by physically coating the polysaccharide derivatives onto silica matrices. Due to this manufacturing process, the use of a number of solvents is limited. Some strong solvents such as tetrahydrofuran, dichloromethane and chloroform promote the solubility of the compounds but can damage the coated phases. Daicel's chiral columns are designed and built to perform consistently year after year, providing long-term savings.
