Application: Detection of low air currents, inspection of ventilation and air conditioning systems and of weather currents
Mode of operation: The filling layer of the flow test tube is impregnated with smoldering sulfuric acid. When air is forced through the tube with the blower ball, sulfuric acid aerosol comes out in the form of white smoke.
Ambient conditions: Temperature: 0 ° C to 40 ° C
Moisture: 3 to 50 mg / L (equivalent to 100% RH at 40 ° C)
The higher the moisture content of the air, the more clearly the sulfuric acid aerosol becomes visible.
In absolutely dry air no visible smoke is developed.
Requirements . Use the flow test tube with the enclosed blower ball. This ball must not be used with other Dräger tubes.
To carry out the test: break off both tips of the tube in the tube opener.
Insert tubes tightly into the blower ball, the direction does not matter.
Close the blower hole with your thumb and push the air in the ball through the tube.
Further notes: The tubes can be used as often as visible smoke escapes. Between the tests close the tubes with the enclosed rubber caps.
Do not store used tubes for more than 3 days.
When using already used tubes, make sure that no liquid sulfuric acid from the caps gets on the skin or clothing.
