Pocket saccharimeter for final fermentation, with WG thermometer 0+30°C, graduation 1°C, approx. 260 mm long, scale value 0.1% mas, standard temperature 20°C, testable
The density of liquids can be measured with hydrometers. Density is the ratio of mass to volume of a substance and is expressed in g/ml or g/cm3. Transparent and opaque liquids must be measured with differently standardized hydrometers. Hydrometers for opaque liquids are marked with a green color ring.
- Reference temperature for density measurements = 20°C.
- Hydrometers are set to this temperature.
- Standard temperature measuring range from 0°C to +35°C.
Each hydrometer is designed for a specific measuring situation. Influencing factors are: - temperature - surface tension - density.
Choose the hydrometer that is suitable for the liquid and the desired accuracy
