This UDC Cholesterol™ HPLC is made with Cogent TYPE-C™ Silica, and provides unique Selectivity due to different surface chemistry, compared to typical Reversed Phase Columns. This Silica Hydride Phase is modified with an 11carbon chain with a cholesterol molecule attached at the terminus. This gives this column the ability to form “slots” and separate some compounds based on shape. Also, due to the direct silicon carbon bonds, this column has no need for end-capping. Use in Reversed Phase, Normal Phase and Aqueous Normal Phase (ANP).
Chosen for analyzing or collecting steroidal and other hard to retain compounds including some lipids, peptides, proteins & oligonucleotides.
Faster Equilibration than other Reversed Phase or HILIC Columns
Very Hydrophobic
Robust Column Lifetimes
Temperature and Solvent Changes Selectivity
