Temperature sensor for determining the U-value, triple sensors for determining the wall temperature, including modeling clay
The U-value (formerly k-value) is the most important value when assessing the thermal properties of components. With the new testo 635, this is easier to determine than ever before.
Three temperature values are required to calculate the U-value: the outside temperature, the surface temperature of the inner wall and the room air temperature.
With the new wireless probes, the outside temperature can be determined quickly and conveniently with the window closed. The sensor is simply positioned outside and wirelessly transmits the measured values to the measuring device in the room.
With the new, patented U-value sensor, the two other required temperatures can be determined with just one sensor. To measure the surface temperature, the three cores of the U-value sensor are attached to the inner wall with plasticine. The air temperature is determined using a sensor on the probe connector.
The three required temperatures are determined by the connected temperature probe and transmitted to the testo 635. From this, the device calculates the U-value and shows it directly on the display.
