PFAS stands for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, and are colloquially known as forever chemicals. They are a group of man-made chemicals that have been widely used in various industrial and consumer products since the 1940’s. PFAS are known for their strong chemical bonds, which make them resistant to heat, water,
