Orochem Technologies has been producing columns for HPLC and UHPLC, flash, chiral and preparative chromatography and related accessories for over 20 years. The Reliasil line of high-efficiency HPLC columns is suitable for general use and is available in a wide variety of phases. The Orosil columns, on the other hand, are particularly suitable for difficult separations involving polar and semipolar compounds. The Orosil C18 column in particular is used worldwide for the analysis of azacitidine (specified in a USP method). Orochem's "Gazelle" brand comprises the UHPLC column series, while the "Epitomize" series summarizes the range of chiral columns. You may use the filters on the left to find the right Orochem column for your application. Feel free to contact us, if you have any questions.
Reliasil is an oligomeric derivatized silica gel. It is preferred by many chromatographers for its chemical stability and effectiveness in reverse phase separation of peptides, pharmaceuticals and derivatized amino acids. Reliasil columns also offer excellent mechanical stability, high efficiency, wide phase diversity and robustness. The following phases are available: silica, C1, C4, C8, C18, C30, NH2, CN, phenyl, SCX, SAX, diol, polyamine and PFP.
Orosil HPLC columns are suitable for the separation of polar, semi-polar and non-polar compounds at low to medium pH and are available as C8 and C18 phases. The Orosil Polar C18 columns are particularly favorable for difficult separations with polar and semipolar compounds.
Matrix C18 phase uses base-deactivated, ultra-high purity silica gel that is tightly bound to produce an inert material ideal for the analysis of basic compounds. The resulting hydrophobic surface is also stable over a wide pH range (2-9), allowing excellent method flexibility. Other phases available are: C8, C18AQ, NH2, Polychrome.
The premium Monitor phases offer excellent stability and reproducibility, as well as minimal secondary interactions. Monitor is the perfect choice for reversed-phase separations that require thoroughly base-deactivated columns, and it is ideal for challenging pharmaceutical and peptide separations. These phases are specifically designed for chromatography of difficult-to-separate samples. Monitor columns are available in silica, C8 and C18 phases.
The brand "Gazelle" by Orochem describes their UHPLC columns portfolio. These columns offer users significantly increased throughput, low solvent consumption, in-line process monitoring and improved LC-MS results. Gazelle columns are designed to provide higher sensitivity and reproducibility with shorter run times. Orochem uses a proprietary Type A silica manufacturing process that results in narrow particle size and pore size distribution, producing consistent and reproducible results. The hydrophilic spherical surface is also stable over a wide pH range (2-8), allowing excellent method flexibility. Applications can be found in clinical diagnostic laboratories, pharmaceutical research and PK/TK studies. Gazelle phases are particularly recommended for the detection of cortisone, testosterone, progesterone, D-norestrel, 19-norethindrone, benzene, flourine and naphthalene.
Orochem carries chiral stationary phases under the brand name "Epitomize". There are the CSP-1 and the CSP-2 series. The chiral phases of the Epitomize CSP-1 series are based on derivatized polysaccharides coated on modified silica gel. Typical of coated CSPs, they should not be used with certain solvents such as ketones (e.g., acetone), halogenated solvents (e.g., dichloromethane and chloroform), ethyl acetate, THF, MTBE, aromatics, or other aggressive solvents such as DMF and DMA. Such solvents may impair or destroy the effectiveness of the CSP-1 series chiral stationary phases.
The Epitomize CSP-2 series chiral stationary phases are based on derivatized polysaccharides covalently bonded to silica gel. The covalent bond allows the use of all typical organic solvents, including ketones (e.g. acetone), halogenated solvents (e.g. dichloromethane and chloroform), ethyl acetate, THF, MTBE, aromatics, and other aggressive solvents such as DMF and DMA. The CSP-2 series enables the separation of many racemates that cannot be separated on coated CSPs due to solvent or mobile phase limitations. Due to the different binding techniques used for the Epitomize CSP-1 series and the CSP-2 series, the user should expect some selectivity differences for some racemates.
