Kromasil
In 2018, the Dutch company Nouryon took over the Specialty Chemicals division of AkzoNobel and along with it the production of Kromasil® HPLC columns. Kromasil® is now a registered trademark of Nouryon. Kromasil specialises in fully spherical silica particles for HPLC. The products are available as pure silica, but also with different surface modifications for normal phase, reversed phase and chiral applications.

Kromasil® HPLC Columns
Kromasil HPLC columns, based on silica gel, are available in many different surface modifications. Depending on the choice of stationary phase, different pore sizes and particle sizes are available. The columns are available in different lengths and diameters depending on whether you want to perform an analytical or preparative separation.
Kromasil 1.8 µm UHPLC columns are considered the latest technological advancement from Nouryon (formerly Akzo Nobel) as they give you unsurpassed resolution, shorter turnaround times and at the same time reduce your costs in the lab due to lower solvent consumption.
The Kromasil 2.5 µm columns can be used in both HPLC and UHPLC - this flexibility gives you the opportunity to adapt your applications for faster turnaround times under HPLC conditions or to develop more robust UHPLC methods.
