The innovative Kromasil EternityXT separation phases have been specially developed for separation and purification at extreme pH values from 1 to 12. The remarkable stability towards extreme pH and temperature ranges is achieved by the silica gel/organosilane hybrid surface.
To produce the hybrid surface, the organosilane layer is applied to mechanically stable Kromasil
100 Å silica gel . Under special conditions, an inorganic/organic gradient is obtained at this interface. After expanding the pores to the original diameter of 100 Å, the modification (C8, C18 or PhenylHexyl) and endcapping are finally carried out.
In addition to the porous Kromasil EternityXT, the CoreShell separation phase Kromasil EternityShell C18 with a particle size of 2.5 µm offered. Fast and efficient analysis, the same selectivity as with porous silica gel and equally high stability under extreme conditions (pH = 1 - 12) characterize Kromasil EternityShell C18.
