The new MAS-100 NT® is arguably the most precise, most reliable and most cost-effective air sampler system available today – a solution you can rely on to detect any airborne micro-organisms which may be hazardous to your products. Developed in close cooperation with specialists in the pharmaceutical industry, this high-precision air sampler system is very easy to handle, delivers correct and reproducible results, and fully complies with the EN ISO 14698 standard parts 1 and 2. It is an improved version of the very successful MAS-100® Air Sampler System that has been highly appreciated for years by even the most demanding customers in the pharmaceutical industry.
The benefits of MAS-100 NT® are compelling:
The original MAS-100® was a unique achievement and an incredible success – but the new MAS-100 NT® is even better. Its compact, user-friendly design, improved security features, easy and fully automatic calibration, validated software, and enhanced connection options make the MAS-100 NT® Active Microbial Air Sampler truly unique:
All functions and parameters as well as the calibration procedure can be controlled using the MAS-100 NT® software or may be programmed directly on the unit. Alarms and samples are logged and the last 100 events recorded. These can be exported or printed at any time. Hardware and software have been developed according to GAMP4.
The MAS-100 NT® Active Microbial Air Monitoring System is a high-performance instrument based on the Andersen air sampler: Air is aspirated through a perforated lid and impacted onto the surface of growth media in a standard 90 mm Petri dish or 60 mm contact plate. Micro-organisms are trapped on the culture media, and after the incubation period the formed colonies can be counted.
No other microbial air monitoring system is as accurate in collecting samples as the MAS-100 NT®. Compared with its predecessor, the MAS-100®, impaction speed on the MAS-100 NT® – and thus its collection efficiency – has been further improved, thanks to a new sampling head with 300 x 0.6mm holes. The system uses a state-of-the-art mass flow sensor to measure the inflow of air and to continuously regulate the aspirated air volume during sample collection to maintain a constant value of 100 liters/min. This allows the MAS-100 NT® System to automatically adjust for differences in fill volumes of Petri dishes, changes in air density, and differences between individual perforated lids.
The new MAS-100 NT® is part of the comprehensive MAS-100® product family. In addition to the high-precision air sampler MAS-100 NT®, this line of microbial air monitoring systems comprises the MAS-100 NT Ex®, a derivative of MAS-100® for use in explosion risk areas, the MAS-100 Eco®, a cost-efficient, flexible and more basic instrument designed for the food and environment industries, the MAS-100 CG Ex® for testing all types of compressed gases used in industry, and the DA-100 NT® Digital Anemometer for the calibration of MAS-100 NT® Systems (with the exception of the MAS-100 CG Ex®).
