Nalgene™ laboratory vials made from high quality plastic
Nalgene™ Thermo Scientific™ manufactures vials and leak-proof packaging units exclusively from the highest quality pure plastic granules. The laboratory items reliably contain low levels of extractables and leachables. Nalgene™ containers are manufactured from a variety of plastic types to provide the ideal material for virtually any laboratory application. Choices include chemically resistant LDPE, HDPE, FLPE and PP bottles, as well as autoclavable PP, PMP and PC offerings. PETG bottles are sold pre-sterilized and have low gas permeability. Also available are bottles made of FEP and PFA fluoropolymer for the highest chemical resistance, temperature tolerance and inertness.

Leak-proof bottles from Nalgene™
The advantages of Nalgene™ plastic laboratory bottles are the bottles' secure stand and high leakage protection. The bottle and cap are routinely inspected together during quality testing. The threads on bottles and caps consist of continuous, straight, half-round threads, instead of inferior round threads. The sealing ring is molded into the cap and fits snugly against the beveled inner edge of the bottle neck. This reduces wear, scratches or contamination. Rounded corners inside allow for easy cleaning. The use of non-alkaline cleaning agents is recommended for cleaning plastic laboratory equipment, especially for products made of polycarbonate, which is particularly sensitive to alkaline agents.
