Sartobind IEX membrane adsorber units combine the advantages of using Sartobind membranes for ion exchange chromatography with the design of a syringe attachment. This ensures quick and easy sample handling.
Sartobind® membrane adsorbers (MA) for ion exchange chromatography are ready-to-connect units of the syringe filter type. They all contain the patented Sartobind membrane with a microporous structure of > 3 µm pore size. The ion exchange ligands are covalently bonded to the entire inner surface of the membrane, resulting in separation media with high binding capacity and very high flux rates. The binding of the ion exchange ligands is very stable and allows many cycles of use without loss of binding capacity. Sartobind MA ion exchange units are available as strong or weak anionic (Q and D) and strong cationic (S) types and in three sizes between 15 cm² and 100 cm² membrane area, corresponding to a static binding capacity between 12 mg and 80 mg protein per unit , available. Sartobind® MA units are equipped with standard Luer Lock connectors and can be operated with HPLC or FPLC systems, but also alternatively with a syringe. The units have a polysulfone housing that is resistant to many chromatography separation media and can be used > 100 times.
