The column has the stability and performance profile ideal for separation of active environmental compounds such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), but is also recommended for herbicides, pesticides and phthalate esters.

Superior inertness ensures excellent peak shape and sensitivity. The midpolarity phase of the column is similar to 50% phenyl methylpolysiloxane. Low baseline noise enables improved limits of detection with enhanced resolution of low level analytes. This column is similar to DB-17ms, VF-17ms, CP-Sil 24 CB, ZB-50, BPX-50.
