About SureSTART Level 3 Crimp Caps for High Performance Applications

Use Thermo Scientific™ SureSTART™ 20 mm crimp caps with 20 mm opening crimp vials, including our SureSTART 20 ml glass headspace vials with crimp cap (Level 3). Choose level 3 products for ultimate performance and sensitivity of your methods while ensuring maximum sample safety and integrity.

Choose from aluminum and magnetic tinplate caps with general purpose silicone/PTFE septa with different hardness values to reduce problems with autosampler needles. Easily apply and remove crimp caps with Thermo Scientific™ manual or electronic crimping pliers and decappers.

Level 3 caps are specifically designed and treated for mass spectrometry applications and contain the lowest concentrations of metals, extractables and caustics to ensure consistent, reproducible sensitivity and selectivity for the most demanding analytes.

Level 3 SureSTART 20 mm crimp caps feature high temperature septa that can be heated to over 250 °C without excessive softening of the septum or release of volatile vapors, thanks to a special silicone formulation.
