MBTFA acylating reagent, 1 ml vial, 10 pc/PAK

Trifluoroacylation of primary and secondary amines, hydroxyl and thiol groups, and carbohydrates using Thermo Scientific™ MBTFA Acylating Reagent. The main byproduct, N-methyltrifluoroacetamine, is stable and volatile and does not cause problems in subsequent GC. MBTFA produces highly volatile derivatives of carbohydrates and can be used to selectively acylate amines in the presence of hydroxyl and carboxyl groups that have been protected by silylation.

Reacts under non-acidic conditions
