Standard reducing ferrules can be used where mixing is not a problem, such as with liquid or gas delivery, since the resulting connection will not be zero dead volume. A 1/16" to 1/32" ferrule of this style is simply a 1/16" ferrule with a 1/32" hole. These ferrules can be used in either internal or external type fitting details.
